Nikon D1 Prototype DSLR (1993)
At the NEXPO 1993 in New Orleans, Nikon had an early prototype of the D1 on display. It had a resolution of 560,000 pixels. Althoug being labeled "D1" it was in fact an E-series prototype and had nothing to do with the D1 that came out in 1999.
