Concord LC Digital prototypes (2001)

Concord was well known for their 35mm cameras. They had a popular series called 'LeClic'. At the turn of the millennium they decided to go digital and market digital versions of the LeClic cameras. So in 2001, when CMOS-single-chip solutions became a cheap alternative, they introduced a digital version called LC Digital. Based on the 35mm LeClic camera but with a 256x256 CMOS sensor. The camera was supposed to run on 4 AAA-batteries and only featured a serial connection. Above all it only had a very tiny memory chip, just enough for 15 pictures. In my humble opinion the camera was already obsolete at the time of the announcement. Concord's plans were to offer the camera in four stylish colors, silver and RGB. The cameras were never sold instead Concord had moderate success shortly after with their Eye Q series.
