Canon EOS Prototype DSLR (1993)

Canon Tech Expo '93 displayed a new type of Canon EOS cameras, it could take all the EOS lenses and flashes but had a 1.3 MP CCD instead of a regular film. The camera was dubbed High-Definition Digital Camera back then. The first reviews talked about a "clip-on digital memory card interface (SRAM)" and that a "120MB hard-drive could be attached". The HDD pack could store up to 30 images and could be transferred via a SCSCI connector.
