Rollei Digital Chip Pack (1994)

After having introduced the original Digital Scan Back back in 1990, Rollei concentrated on expanding their portfolio and introduced the Digital ChipPack in 1994. The ChipPack looked almost exactly like the ScanBack. The ChipPack had a 30x30mm CCD and because of the computerized triple exposure system it took only 30 seconds between taking an image and showing it in color on a monitor. One of the advantages was that virtually every light source and strobe could be used with the ChipPack. It could simply be attached to the back of the Rollei 6003/6008 camera. The ChipPack was sold together with a SCSI interface box, all sorts of cables and a specially designed software for Macintosh and IBM PC computers.
