Dycam Model 3 (1992)

The Model 3 was introduced in 1992, and represented the second generation of gray-scale digital cameras developed by Dycam. A color filter system was available for use with the camera, which provided 24 bit color images with very good quality. The Model 3 sold for a list price of approximately $695, this included the camera, MacIntosh, DOS or Windows imaging software, host adapter, cables and battery charger. The camera would store images as PICT or TIFF files and it took 10 seconds before the camera was ready to take another shot.

The camera had an internal memory of 1MB and was the OEM basis for the Logitech Fotoman Plus FM-2. One battery charge allegedly lasted 100 hours. Dycam also marketed a variety of extra lenses for these models, such were telephoto, wide angle and a close-up lens.
