Sony ProMavica MVC-5000K (1990)

I had this information for a while but forgot about it until it was recently brought to my attention again. It seems that Sony marketed a budget version of the ProMavica MVC-5000. Overt he past two years I have seen two Sony ProMavica MVC-5000K surface on auction plattforms. At first glance there was no difference so I paid no attention to it. I personally thought that the K-version was marketed for non domestic markets. But at a closer look I noticed some differences and this clearly indicates that the 5000K is indeed a "new" unknown model.

I highlighted the following differences with red rectangles in the pictures above:

The MVC-5000K lacks the following:

- no reset button on top of the camera
- no FR/FLD option on the jog dial at the right end of the camera
- no NORMAL/HI-BAND switch at the bottom of the camera near the battery lever

So basically it was only possible to shoot in frame mode with this model. In my opinion it makes the 5000K a budget version of the 5000 since a few options are missing.
