Sony DSC-D770 (1999)

Sony announced this camera on 1999-07-10. It was not an entirely new model but an improved version of the DSC-D700 which was released only a few months earlier. While Sony was developing the DKC-FP3 some of it's features were implemented in the DSC-D770. The camera was technically almost identical to it's predecessor so there were only a few differences. The DSC-D770 was darker in tone, higher ISO settings, improved AE focus and enhanced menu functions like a histogram of recorded images. The body now also carried the 'Cybershot Pro' model name.
