Sanyo VPC-G250 (1998)

The Sanyo VPC-G250 was announced as a 'small, smooth and smart digital camera with full-motion video'. According to Sanyo it had 'The Most Advanced Feature Package of Any Digital Camera' and was 'one of the best business presentation tools in the market'. The camera consisted of a sturdy aluminum camera body and it was slim and slick. Inside the camera was a high-speed solid state video camera ASIC that could capture still, burst, and video clip images. It also featured a 2x digital zoom, a self-timer, optical and LCD viewfinder and Picture in Picture editing features.

Recording an image took only 1 second and playback even only half a second. This made the VPG-G250 the world's first 15 sequential shot and QVGA video clip digital camera.
