Hitachi MP-EG10 (1997)
On 1997-11-19 Hitachi Japan announced an improved version of the MP-EG1, called the MP-EG10. The improvements included enhanced presentation features, better internet and email usability, macro mode and a capture function for storing data from an external video source on the harddrive of the MP-EG10. Better bundled software allowed for PowerPoint slides to be stored as JPEG files and thus being embedded among the camera files. Production was set at 5,000 units per month.
